California Gatekeeper protects Cities, State and Federal government who have promoted sewage
effluent to irrigate food crops in the Salinas Valley.

With the shortage of water in California farmers have  little
choice but to go along with the program. One hundred million
dollars invested in an advanced sewage treatment plant
releasing bacteria and viruses into 43 miles of irrigation
pipeline where biofilms build up and then break off in clumps.
The farmers really are between a rock and a hard place
because there will be more outbreaks.
